PERSONAL HEALTH RECORDS

Mindwave have been developing PHRs with 5 NHS Trusts. PHRs allow users to access their health data, and manage their own health and wellbeing via an app.

Amity

Mindwave is the development and integration partner for the Cheshire & Merseyside team in developing a Citizen Portal - a one-stop-shop for all health and wellbeing needs.

The portal will be available to all citizens within the region and will give them access to parts of their clinical record, e.g. appointments and clinical documents, as well as tools to support their mental and physical wellbeing and access to relevant and personalised information resources.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Digital ‘front door’ to access services and resources using NHS Login.
  • Citizen access to an open ecosystem of other healthcare related platforms, apps and services to give them choice in the platforms they choose to use.
  • An integration layer allowing data to flow between clinical systems and products within the ecosystem, using FHIR, OpenEHR, Open APIs and XDS..
  • A consent model where data flows are controlled/ initiated by the citizen.

MAIA

MAIA is Mindwave’s in-house PHR. The platform aims to showcase the future of personal health records, providing demos of new features that have not yet been implemented within the trust platforms, such as prescription management, additional integration and interoperability with third parties, providing greater personalisation opportunities.

HEADSCAPE FOCUS (OXLEAS)

Headscape Focus is a “personal health record” (PHR) aimed specifically at children with ADHD and their parents and teachers. The platform allows children and their parents to track medications, and provides connection between them, their teachers and their clinicians.

A bespoke admin portal was required to internally manage the on-boarding of their users. Having proved the concept and effectiveness of digitally connecting service users and clinicians in this way, Oxleas is now working with Mindwave again to roll out a PHR service to the whole trust.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Responsive website, based on Healthlocker
  • Bespoke admin interface
  • Stand-alone identity
  • Content change
  • Medication tracking
  • Teacher feedback functionality

MyPHR

My PHR is a second generation “personal health record” (PHR) that provides users with access to medical records, supported self-management tools, and connection and data sharing with their care teams.

Additional discovery work in the region allowed further development and re-prioritisation of existing modules and defined new features such as the “circle of support”, where users can consent for others to view part or all of their personal health record data.

A new interface was designed, based on the Healthlocker branding. User testing and iteration is continuing with a formal pilot planned for the coming months.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Responsive, flexible web application based on Healthlocker
  • Easy to scale technology stack
  • High level of data security
  • Integration with ePJS and RiO (the Trust’s physical and mental health record systems)
  • Circle of support feature

HEALTH-E-CARE+ (WORCS)
