Good thinking

The London Digital Mental Wellbeing Project was commissioned to support Londoners to better manage and maintain their wellbeing through self-management, with long-term goals to relieve pressure on NHS services and reduce stigma surrounding mental health.

The project required an initial ‘discovery phase’ to identify needs of staff members and serviceMindwave were tasked with creating a new digital service that would direct users to helpful tools and resources aimed at improving daily wellbeing. For proof of concept, we targeted men aged 18-45 with experience of sleep issues, evolving the project into an inclusive, far-reaching digital service helping Londoners to help themselves with everyday experiences such as stress, loneliness and anxiety.

A key aim of the service was to find people where they are online and direct them to useful content such as apps, meetups and practical advice relevant to their particular needs. Peer support was also a clear user need and the platform aimed to safely connect people with others, both online and offline, through forums, meetups and support groups.
